Summer Living

I’m working on consistency and not being so hard on myself. I’ve become Obsessed with perfection which isn’t realistic .  In normal Dee fashion I pushed off a project, that I’ve known about for over a month, to the last minute causing major anxiety. I’ve convinced myself that I work better under pressure, I mean it’s true but definitely does not aide in eliminating anxiety.

Yesterday was very interesting to say the least, this blogging thing is hard work!   I played makeup artist, stylist, creative director, and editor…I genuinely enjoyed every bit of it!

I’m learning to go with the flow, things don’t always work out as planned. Example; My “set” time was 12pm which we pushed back till 2pm which eventually ended up being 5pm.  Wardrobe…yea definitely didn’t go as planned.  In my head I wanted to do something more “girly” that was eliminated quickly. Location…canceled from fear of “loosing light” .  We battled the heat and sun for about 100 photos for me to ultimately pick a total of about 10 that I liked and actually told the story. Oh and lets not forget not being able to edit the photos on my computer because I’ve forgotten my password.  Nonetheless “she persisted”…project complete…at 12:03 am (deadline was midnight).

Lesson; Dont give up.  Throw away the excuses…get “ish” done AND don’t be so hard on yourself!
